Khao San's antidote sits six floors above it: a calm terrace where the cocktails riff on Thai ingredients like lemongrass and kaffir lime, the music stays at conversation volume, and the neighborhood's chaos reads as distant scenery. The view is nothing to rave about — the trade is peace, and it's a good trade.
