Our take

The rooftop as swimming pool rather than viewpoint: 32 metres of infinity edge aimed at Lumphini's green, a lawn alongside for towels and picnics, and a bar keeping drinks within arm's reach of the water. Most days it's a lazy, lounger-paced scene — then the last Saturday of the month arrives and the SO Pool Party turns the whole deck into Bangkok's best-dressed splash zone. The rare rooftop you leave with wet hair, happily.

Insider tip

It closes at 8pm, so treat this as a daytime-into-sunset plan rather than a late one — arrive by mid-afternoon for a lounger with pool access. Food and drinks are brought straight to your spot on the lawn or by the water, so there's no need to move once you've settled in.
